A dramatically compact 24–105mm f/4 lens, the RF 24–105mm F4 L IS USM packs a broad zoom range and a bright maximum aperture into a well-balanced, refined design that balances comfortably on the EOS R camera's body.

54mm Large Diameter and Short Back Focus
The RF mount on the EOS R camera enables large diameter elements throughout the lens, including the rearmost element. This large diameter, coupled with the camera's short back focus (the distance from the back edge of the lens to the surface of the image sensor), helps increase the flexibility of optical design, resulting in incredible brightness and image quality and contributing to the RF 24–105mm F4 L IS USM's conveniently compact size without compromising performance.

The RF 24–105mm F4 L IS USM lens features 3 aspheric and 1 UD lens element to help correct aberrations, distortion and astigmatism, delivering sharp and dynamic images with excellent detail and contrast across the image frame and throughout the zoom range. Plus, it has a 9-blade circular aperture for beautiful, soft backgrounds.

High-speed Autofocus with NANO USM for Still Shooting
The RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM uses Canon's NANO USM system for the first time in an L series lens. NANO USM combines conventional ring USM and STM (lead-screw type) AF, and features a diminutive chip-shaped ultrasonic motor that's engineered to help deliver high-speed, smooth, precise and near-silent operation, plus full time manual focus (when using One-shot AF).

Smooth and Quiet Autofocus for Video Recording
Another benefit of NANO USM is that it's nearly silent. This means smooth and silent AF transitions that are ideal for video recording.

Optical Image Stabilization at up to 5 Stops* of Shake Correction

The EOS R system's 12 pin communication system enables the Digital Lens Optimizer, which works in-camera to combat aberrations and image deterioration, especially in the edges of the image frame when shooting at a large aperture.
